91�㽶��Ƶ provides countless opportunities to assist our students in paying for college.

In addition to University-wide scholarships, thanks to the gifts of donors, the College of Informatics is able to offer additional scholarships for its students.

Why apply for Scholarships?

91�㽶��Ƶ does not require you to search for a scholarship! For almost all scholarships you only need to submit one application, which is applied to all the 91�㽶��Ƶ scholarships you qualify for!
A scholarship is an award and an investment in your future.
Scholarships are money that you do not have to pay back! (Free money!)
This gives you an opportunity to meet with our valued donors who want to meet you and hear about your experience at 91�㽶��Ƶ, as well as your plans for the future.
A scholarship is an award and can be listed on your resume!
Some scholarships have perks beyond funds! For example, the CINSAM Scholar scholarship provides faculty mentoring, giving you a kick-start for college and career success.
Federal and state support for students decreases, and a scholarship can help keep your total costs down.
The COI has many scholarships which have been created with you and your interests in mind.
Continuing scholarships (after you start college) ask you to supply a letter of recommendation from a faculty member. This gives you a chance to talk with your professors about something other than your grade.

91�㽶��Ƶ offers . By completing the freshman or continuing student application, you will be put in the running for many scholarships listed below. These scholarships are indicated with an asterisk (*) symbol next to the name.

Scholarships without this symbol have a separate application process.

Scholarships for all Informatics Students

Christian Michael Thomas Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility:

Must be accepted for admission as a full-time degree seeking student with a minimum ACT score of 23 or a continuing student with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must have a declared major in the College of Informatics
Must display financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from the U.S. Department of Education but are not Pell Grant eligible
Preference will be given to a student with a declared major in Computer Science

Amount: Varies.

Duration: One academic year

Eva G. Farris Informatics Scholarship *

Eligibility:

Must be admitted to 91�㽶��Ƶ as a first-time freshman
Must have an ACT composite score of 23 or higher
Must have a class rank in the top 25%
Must have a declared major or pre-major program in the College of Informatics.

Amount: Varies.

Duration: One academic year, excluding summer sessions.

Informatics Renaissance Travel Award

Eligibility:

Must be accepted for admission as a degree-seeking student at 91�㽶��Ƶ and enrolled in a study abroad program through the 91�㽶��Ƶ Office of Education Abroad.
Must have attained the minimum equivalent credit hours of a second year undergraduate degree student in any College of Informatics bachelor’s degree programs.
Award recipients will have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and no prior international travel experience at the time of scholarship application.
Preference will be given to students who exhibit promise, but have not necessarily excelled academically, and for travel to non-English speaking or developing countries.

Amount: Varies.

Duration: One academic year

Mazak Scholarship in the College of Informatics *

Eligibility:

Must be accepted for admission as a degree-seeking student in the College of Informatics at 91�㽶��Ƶ
Incoming students must have a minimum 23 ACT score
Continuing students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Amount: Varies.
